11 things you can do to feel beautiful

11 things you can do to feel beautiful

Look at your entire body in the mirror daily. You are beautiful in your own unique way, accept who and where you are. Look at yourself naked, look at yourself in your favorite dress. Do you avoid mirrors? Try to push yourself out of your comfort zone, have a look.   Accept love. Tell yourself. “I love you” on a daily basis. Even if you don’t feel lovable, allow your heart to open to yourself. Look into your own eyes in a mirror and find compassion towards yourself. Practice this even if you don’t feel it at first, eventually your heart will open.   Get your hair done. Don’t wait for anything to try that new hairstyle that you love. Find a good stylist that you resonate with and discuss whether or not you will be able to rock that style or does another style fit you better. Open yourself to new possibilities.   Have your nails done. In a nice place where you will have a quality mani and/or pedi. Whether you choose polish or no polish, having your nails done regularly will help you feel well groomed and pampered.   Choose nourishing and whole foods. Respect your body by choosing healthy and nutrient dense foods. Avoid abusing your body with “junk” foods and processed foods. Trust me, you will feel so much better body, mind and spirit.   Move your body. Dance, yoga or simple stretching, walk or running, or your favorite workout. Moving your body will help your circulation in both the physical and energetically ( your subtle body.) There are so many other benefits, try...
Beauty styling, crystal healing, and spiritual balance

Beauty styling, crystal healing, and spiritual balance

Having your hair done is not just physical care and maintenance, it is also allowing someone to enter your crown chakra, the most sacred part of your body.  It is nothing to be taken lightly. If you don’t like going into salons and having your hair done perhaps you’re with the wrong stylist. I have heard many people say that they don’t like going into salons and having their hair done because they will have to look in the mirror.   Think about it, the mirror reflects back to you who you are on the outside. If what you see doesn’t reflect who you are on the inside, then there will be a disconnect and you won’t want to see yourself. In my coaching group and private classes we do some mirror work, facing ourselves, staring ourselves down. In long distance coaching we also have assignments that include mirror work. Connecting our inner selves with our outer expression is so important. Having a stylist who is conscious of that and offers more than just a cut and blow dry is a valuable find. Having a stylist who also addresses your energy body and offers coaching in not only beauty but other areas of your life is the ultimate in spiritual self care. Hair represents many things, it holds your DNA, it holds memories and imprints of events you’ve experienced. Having is cut is a cleansing step towards allowing new things into your life. Having your hair washed can be symbolic of cleansing away the cobwebs in your mind and clearing your connection to the divine. Combining the washing and...
How to be more interesting

How to be more interesting

What skills do you want to improve? There is always room for improvement, without it I become boring and no one cares because they experience the same things when they experience me. It’s the same with you. If you become predictable, eventually, people will not care and if they’re on your website or blog, they’ll click away. Don’t have a blog? Well, they just won’t care about connecting with you. Self improvement is so important. It feeds your soul and the souls of the people who come in contact with you.   What kind of things can you improve? Anything! I will share my current list, and maybe that will inspire you. Only you know what will enhance your personal life and experiences though, so I urge you to create a list. Make it a long list with lots of messy brainstorms, then you can edit and pare it down to the things that you want to improve in the next 6 months. That’s what I did. Here is my list of things that will enhance my life if I put some focus there, I don’t have to do them all at once, but just having it will remind me to constantly be improving myself.   1~ My coaching skills. My ability to walk with and assist others on their journeys. My ability to see their highest potential and hold the vision for them even when they don’t. It takes practice and focus. It also takes care and love. Relating to people and building rapport is something I ALWAYS want to have in my self-improvement list.   2~ My...
How to look and feel young: The Five Tibetan Rites

How to look and feel young: The Five Tibetan Rites

I recently had the pleasure of participating in a workshop on The Five Tibetan Rites, led by local yoga maven, Kim Leibowitz, and Physical Therapist Jennifer Hays, MPT. It was fun and very enlightening. We discussed the Chakra System and the subtle energy body and how by keeping that part of you healthy and clear, you can find the proverbial ‘Fountain of Youth.’ The Five Tibetan Rites are a way in which to achieve a healthy energy body, it is a discipline, practiced daily. It is easy to fit into your daily routine and I really wanted to share this information with those of you who aren’t familiar with The Rites. First of all, let’s briefly talk about the human energy body. The chakras are the power centers of the body. We have many of them, they correspond with major glands and are connected with the Meridian path through the body. Each Chakra has it’s own spin and frequency (frequencies produce colors, so each Chakra has a corresponding color.)  When your Chakras are healthy, you are healthy. When they are blocked (under-active) or over-active, there can be problems and it will affect your physical, emotional and spiritual health. In the Rites, focus is on the 7 major energy centers in the body. Subtle energy is the electromagnetic wavelengths, rates of vibration, patterns of pulsation.  Each person has unique patterns of energy that are directly related to their health and well being. Each person has a subtle body and it too can be clear and healthy, or cloudy, blocked and not as healthy and bright. The Rites also will help clear your subtle...
How to raise your frequency~ Part one

How to raise your frequency~ Part one

This is the first in a series of three posts on raising your personal vibration.   Everything is energy. I’m sure you’ve heard that, but what does that mean to you on a practical level? We each carry a vibration, or frequency.  Our frequency is the speed in which we vibrate. Simply put. Everything that exists has a frequency, if we are to remain strong and solid, it is important to be able to maintain a high and strong vibration. Higher vibratory states help us to be joyful, happy, in love, good health, positive states of mind, being at ONE with the Universe, mystical states. Lower vibratory states contribute to being slower, having less spiritual awareness, frequent illness, “toxic” emotions, negativity.   Like attracts like, haven’t you noticed that when you are vibrating at a certain rate, such as being in love, you are immune to the tough things in the world, and tend to attract more of the energy that feels good to you? Just as when you are irritated, such as being “road raged” in traffic, will magnetize more of the same to you. Since we are all interconnected, we are affected by the vibration of the things and people around us.  In order to steadily attract the things you want and that will strengthen you, it’s important to know how to have a good strong, high frequency. There is a place for the lower frequencies, being able to move from one to the other at will is optimum, consciously. For the scope of this post, I will be talking about raising frequency.   Over the course of the...
