Beauty styling, crystal healing, and spiritual balance

Beauty styling, crystal healing, and spiritual balance

Having your hair done is not just physical care and maintenance, it is also allowing someone to enter your crown chakra, the most sacred part of your body.  It is nothing to be taken lightly. If you don’t like going into salons and having your hair done perhaps you’re with the wrong stylist. I have heard many people say that they don’t like going into salons and having their hair done because they will have to look in the mirror.   Think about it, the mirror reflects back to you who you are on the outside. If what you see doesn’t reflect who you are on the inside, then there will be a disconnect and you won’t want to see yourself. In my coaching group and private classes we do some mirror work, facing ourselves, staring ourselves down. In long distance coaching we also have assignments that include mirror work. Connecting our inner selves with our outer expression is so important. Having a stylist who is conscious of that and offers more than just a cut and blow dry is a valuable find. Having a stylist who also addresses your energy body and offers coaching in not only beauty but other areas of your life is the ultimate in spiritual self care. Hair represents many things, it holds your DNA, it holds memories and imprints of events you’ve experienced. Having is cut is a cleansing step towards allowing new things into your life. Having your hair washed can be symbolic of cleansing away the cobwebs in your mind and clearing your connection to the divine. Combining the washing and...
My journey with KonMari (The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese art of Decluttering.)

My journey with KonMari (The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese art of Decluttering.)

I am posting a series of posts chronicling my journey with KonMari, which is a *controversial* method of decluttering as described in the book The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art Of Decluttering And Organizing.   There is a specific and ordered process and some rules: A. Only keep the things that spark joy B. Treat each possession with respect and thankfulness C. Have a spot for everything   The process requires that you organize by category rather than drawer or room.     The first thing you tackle it clothing. You don’t just go through your closet and drawers, you take everything out of drawers and off of hangers and pile them on the floor in sub-categories. Bottoms: shirts, pants, leggings. Tops, belts, purses, coats and accessories (you get the idea?) You go through everything from dresses to jewelry and all accessories. With no music or distractions, you hold each thing and consider whether it brings you joy and if it does it is a keeper, if it doesn’t, or there’s no reaction, then it goes into the donation pile. There are special methods for putting things away: folding and storage methods (not the usual advice.)   You then go after the books. It was sobering to see how many book-books I had. I love my books. So I categorized them by subject and on the floor they went. I went through the same process and was able to release the books that no longer resonated, or that I had books similar to. The hard thing were the cookbooks. I will admit that I am a...
I’m bringing magic to my life!

I’m bringing magic to my life!

I am participating in a blog challenge this month.  The ‘Magic up your Life! Blog Challenge.’  I will be blogging more often this month as a practice in consistency and because I am always wanting to add a little magic into my life. How about you? Here is the link in case you want to participate.   It’s been a while since I introduced myself so I thought I would do that today.   I am Kelly St. Claire and I am pleased to meet you! I am a crystal healer (having completed Hibiscus Moon’s Advanced Crystal Master training.) I am also big into the Tarot, I read and teach and work with it in my creative endeavors. I am a creative writer and love to write poetry. I am most of all a teacher and intuitive healing coach (or guide, because sometimes I am not sure about the word ‘coach.’) I help women in all aspects of their lives.  I’ve been through a lot, so I bring my experiences to the table and am so happy to help others find the artistry in their lives! My big focus is beauty and artistry and how to add it into your life and create inner as well as outer beauty. Oh, I almost forgot, I have worked with women for years, helping them access their unique beauty and sacred image. My focus has been hair and image, but I have also done makeup and fashion styling. I am huge into the idea of weaving beauty and spirituality into EVERYTHING! I have also studied and practiced with herbal medicine, Reiki, essential...
Wearing crystals (does size matter?)

Wearing crystals (does size matter?)

Today I want to post a quick tip on how to work with your crystals. Many people ask me if size matters when working with a crystal. The answer is YES, size is directly related to the energy field of the crystal. The area of influence is smaller with a smaller crystal. When I am working with smaller crystals, I like to put them either directly on the skin, or through thinner fabric (when performing a crystal healing on myself or others,) or wear them close to my body. It also increases the field of influence if you create a crystal grid. This is an article that goes over a few ways to work with crystals large and small.   This is one of my favorite combinations to wear on almost a daily basis. It is Apophyllite, Tanzanite and Golden Azeztulite. The other cage holds a Herkimer Diamond to amplify the other crystals. The stones in that combination all are high frequency stones and they lift my consciousness and help me stay in a higher vibrational state. This means I am more connected with my spirit guides and my intuition. I places the crystals in a spiral cage, which are readily available. You can switch out the crystals if you want.   Another way you can invite the energies of the crystals into your life is with a bracelet of chips (small stones that are bound together in a stretchy bracelet. This one is Amazonite and I am wearing it for it’s calming properties, it also helps me to connect with my heart when communicating and it also helps...
Structure allows you to be a creative genius

Structure allows you to be a creative genius

I realized long ago that there are a few essentials that I need in my life that sometimes fall to the back burner and get neglected, usually because I get caught up in my habitual life routines. Don’t get me wrong, routine and structure can be great and it offers the platform from which you can launch your creative pursuits. You can’t think outside of the box unless there is a box. Structure can be the cornerstone for an effective life and contrary to what you may think, it does allow for your artistic and creative nature to shine! Like my mentor, Angella Johnson, has quoted to me: “Success is scheduled.” If it is not on that calendar where you can see it, it is likely to be forgotten in the sea of the ineffective “to-do’ list that you may have floating around somewhere. Structure is a great platform for creativity. When I cook, I often follow the recipe the first time and learn the intention of the author of that recipe… Then I take liberties with the ratio, ingredients, cooking time, measurements… In other words, I get creative and make it mine and it usually shines with my “touch” and my family enjoys it even more than when I followed the instructions.  The structure of that recipe though is my springboard, it sparks my creative nature. Other times, I simply take random ingredients and create a masterpiece… Chaotic cooking, usually with Pandora blasting song that get my body moving and stoke my creative fires. Chaotic structure. It always results in yumminess (well, most of the time, lol)  ...
How crystals can help you lose weight

How crystals can help you lose weight

Among all of the methods for weight loss, you cannot ignore exercise and eating clean and watching your portion sizes. I personally have become addicted to working out, I have a routine, every morning I get up before the sun and get my workout done before I start my day. When I skip it, I can feel it. I am grumpy, and I just don’t feel myself. This doesn’t include my weekly rest day (which is also important.)   We need to care for our physical body like that, but there are other factors at play, and we are more than our physical bodies. We are also made up of our emotions our mind and our spirit. We are made of measurable and unmeasurable energy, and if we ignore that and only focus on the physical aspect of our workouts and food, we may not be successful in the long run. Weight loss is attainable, but without looking at yourself as a whole, it may not be sustainable.   There are many other ways to nurture your energy body as a part of the whole, and one way is to work with crystals.   How Crystals help~   Imbalances in the energetic body can manifest as excess weight and a general state of imbalance (physically, mentally and emotionally.) By taking care of potential problems before they hit your physical body, we can ward off dis-ease even before it manifests in your body. Crystal placement on and around your body supports health (thus a healthy weight) by the principle of entrainment; energy of a stronger and higher frequency will dominate...
