Beauty styling, crystal healing, and spiritual balance

Beauty styling, crystal healing, and spiritual balance

Having your hair done is not just physical care and maintenance, it is also allowing someone to enter your crown chakra, the most sacred part of your body.  It is nothing to be taken lightly. If you don’t like going into salons and having your hair done perhaps you’re with the wrong stylist. I have heard many people say that they don’t like going into salons and having their hair done because they will have to look in the mirror.   Think about it, the mirror reflects back to you who you are on the outside. If what you see doesn’t reflect who you are on the inside, then there will be a disconnect and you won’t want to see yourself. In my coaching group and private classes we do some mirror work, facing ourselves, staring ourselves down. In long distance coaching we also have assignments that include mirror work. Connecting our inner selves with our outer expression is so important. Having a stylist who is conscious of that and offers more than just a cut and blow dry is a valuable find. Having a stylist who also addresses your energy body and offers coaching in not only beauty but other areas of your life is the ultimate in spiritual self care. Hair represents many things, it holds your DNA, it holds memories and imprints of events you’ve experienced. Having is cut is a cleansing step towards allowing new things into your life. Having your hair washed can be symbolic of cleansing away the cobwebs in your mind and clearing your connection to the divine. Combining the washing and...

Is caring about your beauty superficial?

Is caring about your beauty superficial?

Is caring about your beauty superficial? and what can you do when you just feel “ugly?”   You know what I mean. Some days you just feel off your game, bad hair days, clothes don’t fit. It’s hard to pin an exact reason but you just feel plain ugly!   I have one question: How can you be a positive force for change and touch lives if you’re all caught up in feeling “ugly” and not able to walk upright and confident? I know when I have felt this way and expressed it out loud I have been told everything from “It’s the inner that matters, it doesn’t matter how you are on the outside.” to “you are not ugly, that is silly!” or, “You are not ugly, you are beautiful!” The latter being the nicer thing. Each statement has one thing in common.     They all gloss over your very real “ugly” & “fugly” feelings, not being at the top of your game. It is intended kindness in most cases, and among many different sects of spirituality it really is seen as being “superficial” to be concerned about such things and even looked down on for caring. It’s the inner part of you that matters, right?     Let’s look at what “superficial” means at it’s core. Let’s no longer demonize it!   Superficial= on the surface. It’s only part of the equation. When you draw on both the inner and the outer it’s powerful to use that surface to magnify the beauty that is from down deep. Is surface not important? Reclaim “superficial” and use it...

How to step into your role as a leader

How to step into your role as a leader

Do you have the desire to create and pull things together? Are you brimming with ideas? Do you always find yourself connecting people together with other contacts or organizations? Do you really want to teach a class? (maybe you have the courage, maybe not, but the desire is there.) Do you want to create a movement, and not just a business? Do you want to create a ‘center’ where many modalities of healing are brought together? Do you want to help others? Do you want to be your own boss and not answer to a “boss?” Have you, or do you want to quit your “day job” to work for yourself?   If you related with at least a few of those questions, you might be a heart centered entrepreneur. You also might have that Leader archetype in you wanting to be expressed.   Do you want to start or generate things? Are you guided to help or heal others? What’s stopping you? Where are you in this journey? Do you feel that you can embody your role as leader of others? Connecting and guiding and starting things?   ~Look the part/ have confidence~ First of all, you must look the part. Even if it is a glow from the inside, a confidence that shines through your expression. There is a quiet confidence that comes with certainty. People make judgments of you within seconds of meeting you. it’s true, sometimes we misrepresent ourselves by hiding behind baggy clothes, muted colors and  our lack of confidence shows in our face. It’s important to find your colors, the colors that resonate...
How to take the stage: Create your own movement!

How to take the stage: Create your own movement!

Step #1 is always to know yourself. Know what you stand for. Know who you are meant to help and connect with. When it comes to really working a room and taking charge, it really is crucial to have that knowledge about yourself.   Who are you? What do you stand for? Who do you help? What problems do you solve?   When you know those things you will have more confidence to present yourself with more moxie and show others your unique slant on things.   Step #2 is to create your Manifesto! It is a creation that states who you are and what you stand for. It can be as unique as you are. It can be a statement of belief, it can be artwork, it can even be a choreographed dance or performance. The most important thing about a manifesto is that you express it, and let it shine! Place it somewhere on your website or blog, share it with people you know. Find a way to be visible and unique. Be seen (I know that can be a tall order, perhaps I can help.)   If you would like to explore yourself further and find your Manifesto, here is some more information to help you get there!  You can take the stage and think about it, your ideas, plans and programs can be more than ideas floating around the ethers, they can become a movement that shapes those around you that you are meant to help. Acting on your ideas is important, as is the Manifesto. Like i said, the manifesto can be anything that...
