Are you a bully to your body?

Are you a bully to your body?

What is your body trying to say to you?   Do you happily celebrate your body with regular movement? Do you honor your body through the food you choose to eat? Do you see your body as the sacred vehicle that holds you up? Are you able to look in the mirror without judging yourself? If you answered ‘no’ to these questions then you may not be truly hearing or honoring your body.  What do you feel your body wants? Does it want to be judged and hated?   Imagine your body as another person. Would you treat another person the way you treat your body? If you did would you be considered a bully? Think about it.   What’s better, a perfect diet? or a love an appreciation for your beautiful body? These are just things to consider in your journey towards love and acceptance for your body. Cultivate that body-love and then you will WANT to nourish your body in the way it needs. Would you like some help with that? ========================================================================   Kelly has a full knowledge and experience of what your energy body has to do with your physical health. Food is Art!

Food is Art!

Do you say grace or express appreciation for your food? Do you experience your food as sacred? Do you connect your meal times with social time with your family or friends? How are you connected with the food you take in to your body? Do you eat standing up as you do other things? Do you eat while you are both in front of the TV as well as checking your phone? Have you ever eaten while you were arguing? Do you throw a frozen meal into the microwave? Have you been there? it’s easy to go unconscious with your food and eating. I’ve noticed that nurturing more of a connection with what goes into your body helps not only physically, but emotionally in thoughts and confidence. Creating yummy and nourishing dishes, being a kitchen alchemist, a kitchen witch and partnering with Mother nature and her beautiful jewels nurtures health in all ways.   One of the things I have started doing is setting up my ingredients in an organized and pretty way as I begin the cooking process. Mise en Place is a a French phrase which means “putting everything in place.” It’s about the set up and display of ingredients before the process of cooking. It means the organizing and arranging of the ingredients. All of the things you will require for the preparation of your meal. To me, it is a part of the beauty of cooking. Yes, it can feel like you’re on the Cooking Network demonstrating your culinary talents.  That is a way to nourish yourself and it’s also easier to prepare your meals...
Hypothyroidism, updates and thoughts

Hypothyroidism, updates and thoughts

I recently made a discovery about my health. I was feeling numbness in my limbs and I had quickly gained weight, and despite the fact that I had a pretty clean diet and daily yoga, it didn’t budge.  To say I was frustrated is an understatement! Being slow and always sleepy is not my natural state. I had been active and energetic before, and that progressed into constantly falling asleep in my comfortable wing back chair.   I found myself in the local urgent care because of the numbness, that was so scary and I kept thinking the worst, got caught up in fear. The Dr’s were actually nice and helpful… They tested my blood for everything imaginable.   It turned out that I must not be absorbing all of the wholesome nutrients I was taking in. I was extremely iron poor, my blood pressure was scarily low and my thyroid function was also low.   That’s one of the reason I was apparently not absorbing the goodness from what I was eating. I ate iron-rich foods such ad greens and lentils, and I have always been conscious of my iron intake.   At first I was relieved…   all of the weight gain and sluggishness was a result of something I “had no control” over! I will admit that the weight bothered me, I felt unable to see my clients, who come to me for wellness and healthy ways of living and being. How could they take me seriously? Now that I knew the problem I could do something about it.   I also admit that this...
Busy, busy, busy and thriving.

Busy, busy, busy and thriving.

Life has been a flurry lately. School is intense. Wonderfully intense… I’m so busy and thriving on learning/perfecting things related to all of my life. I’m currently neck deep in my Hypnotherapy training…   This will be a great addition to my coaching practice. It’s more complex than I thought, and so important and effective in helping others work with their deep internal programming. It’s rarely about the surface things you may think, but there are deeper reasons for everything… So we work simultaneously with both the desired issue as well as confront the root program that’s running in your life. This is a new tool I’ve added to my toolbox! So amazing and effective.   Wellness and Lifestyle coaching is so fun! I am enjoying inspiring others in making sustainable changes in their lifestyles so change is possible. Whatever you need, I enjoy uncovering it. My goal is to make a difference.     I’m taking clients, and energized by working with them… I’m taking volunteers as well. I’m opening my local practice as well as still working with people at a distance. Luckily technology makes it possible to reach more people. This is a fun time in my life.     My inner goddess is alive! She is carrying me through this busy time, renewing me and offering me strength. She is there to help me be available for others.      ...
